about me

My name is Yohann Gervais, I am a state-certified swimming instructor and certified Pilates Matwork instructor with several years of experience, I offer swimming lessons as well as aquafitness and Pilates sessions at your home.

My know-how as well as my previous professional and personal experiences as a former high-level athlete, gave me the opportunity to experiment with various and varied learning methods, which allowed me to develop my ability to adapt to each client.

My pedagogy is based on excellent communication skills in order to best explain each exercise, each movement and to understand all its meaning and biomechanics.

Patient and attentive, I invest myself fully in each of my lessons in order to offer you the best possible conditions in order to progress and achieve your objectives that we will have set together beforehand.

I travel with all the necessary equipment to Sanary sur Mer, Bandol, Cadière d'Azur, Six-Fours les Plages and Ollioules as well as to the surrounding area.

My various experiences have led me to specialize over the years in the initiation and learning phases of swimming, for children as well as for adults and aquaphobic people.

Patient and listening to you, I do not hesitate to accompany my clients in the water if the need arises in order to offer you the best possible conditions to progress and develop your confidence, your ease in the aquatic environment as well as your autonomy in the water. over the course of the sessions.

I had the opportunity to work in various universes, ranging from the high-end private club within the Société des Régates du Havre, to Parisian palaces, in particular the Trianon Palace in Versailles. I have also worked in municipal swimming pools both in Le Havre and in Spain in Castellón de La Plana, and in large aquatic complexes such as the Bains des Docks in Le Havre, as well as for sports management companies and various aquafitness centers .

I thus had the chance to work abroad and in particular for more than a year in Spain, in the province of Castelló, as a lifeguard, sports educator and Pilates instructor for a sports management company within which I gave exclusively swimming lessons, aquafitness, aquabike, and Pilates.

Since my arrival in the Var I have worked regularly with the HelioSpa hotel on the island of Embiez, as well as various aquatic centers and I have mainly developed my activity at home with my private clients.

After discovering Pilates by integrating it into my physical preparations as a high-level basketball player when I played in the youth categories, I decided in 2017, in parallel with my job as a swimming instructor and as a sports educator to devote myself more fully to it.

I had the opportunity to practice it more regularly when I was living in Spain thanks to the company I worked for. I was able to intensify my practice, perfect myself, and train myself in this area in order to later become a Pilates Matwork instructor myself in Spain within this same company.

The opportunity was given to me later to provide Pilates lessons in the seaside resort Oropesa del Mar as well as at home in the surroundings of Benicasim and Castellón de la Plana with my private clients and thereafter in France as soon as I return.

Curious by nature and always eager to deepen my knowledge in order to improve the quality of my courses offered, when I returned to France I undertook to deepen my training in Pilates with the organization LeaderFit. I was able to complete my course with the Pilates Matwork I, Matwork II, Pilates for pregnant women and seniors certifications, as well as the post-therapy Pilates and Pilates small equipment courses.
